    This course builds on the limited experience of the trainees in engineering drawing, and prepares them to read and produce drawings in various projections.

  • course learning outcomes:

    At the end of the course, the participants will be able to;
    - Understand Multi-view sketches and isometric sketches.
    - Learn preferred dimensioning practices.
    - Draw orthographic projections in third and first angle.
    - Draw partial views, removed views, machine holes.
    - Draw fillets, rounds and run-outs, cylindrical intersections.
    - Draw Sectional views.
    - Read the drawing.

  • Course outlines:

    - Multi-view sketches; isometric sketches.
    - Preferred dimensioning practices.
    - Orthographic projections; third and first angle projections.
    - Clarity in orthographic projections; partial views, removed views, machine holes.
    - Fillets, Rounds and run-outs, cylindrical intersections.
    - Sectioning; cutting planes, hatching and types of sections.
    - Sectional views (full and half sections).
