    This is hand-on course involving CNC machining and programming on lathe and vertical milling machine.

  • course learning outcomes:

    At the end of the course, the participants will be able to;
    - Setup the tool and work piece for CNC machining.
    - Develop G & M-code CNC programs milling and turning.
    - Do CAD/CAM programming CNC machines.
    - Execute 3-D simulation to assess the tool path.
    - Machine the actual work part to acquire the final product.

    - Manual turning and milling Vs. CNC turning and milling.
    - Introduction and explanation of G & M-codes for milling and turning.
    - Developing, simulating and executing G & M-code programs on FANUC controller for milling and turning.
    - Linear interpolation, Circular interpolation.
    - Left and right hand side radius compensation.
    - Profile & Pocket milling.
    - Taper and arc turning.
    - Multiple automatic repetitive cycles with pattern recognition for turning.
    - Introduction of the CAD/CAM software and drawing lessons.
    CAD/CAM programming using CAM concept software.
