This course prepares the participants for the official Microsoft Technology Associate exam MTA 98-366 Networking Fundamentals.
At the end of the course, the participants will be able to;
- To develop an understanding of modern network architectures from a design and performance perspective.
- To understand the basics of network communication.
- To familiarize the student with the basic taxonomy and terminology of the computer networking area.
- To introduce the student to the major concepts involved in wide-area networks (WANs), local area networks (LANs) and Wireless LANs (WLANs).
- To clarify network terminology.
- To expose students to emerging technologies and their potential impact.
- To understand the challenges of network communication.
- Living in in a Network-Centric World.
- Communicating Over the Network.
- Identify the different types of network topologies and protocols.
- Application Layer Functionality and Protocols.
- TCP/IP and OSI Network Models.
- Function(s) of each of models layers.
- Addressing the Network (IPv4 and IPv6 Addresses).
- Ethernet.
- Identify the different types of network devices and their functions within a network.
- All teaching hours will be conducted in a networking specialized lab.
- Should have basic knowledge on Computing in addition to his high school or equivalent diploma.
