    This course covers the basic theory and application of electrochemical science that includes redox reaction, operation of voltaic cell, emf. calculation, corrosion and its prevention.

    At the end of the course, the participants will be able to;
    - Write and balance redox equations in acidic and basic solution.
    - Define the voltaic cell, batteries and its working principles.
    - Know how corrosion takes place in metals and its prevention.
    - Understand the calculation of emf using Nernst equation.
