    To provide fundamental knowledge on different types of engineering materials, properties and characteristics which are important in engineering design, construction and maintenance.
    To provide information on physical, electrical, thermal and mechanical properties of some modern Engineering Materials such as Nano Materials, Shape Memory Alloys, Bio Materials, and Metallic Glasses.

    At the end of the course, the participants will be able to;
    - Apply knowledge in physical, electrical, thermal and mechanical properties of materials for different engineering applications and solving technical problems.
    - Demonstrate expertise in the fields of synthesis, processing, characterization and applications of advanced engineering materials.
