    This course will introduce participants to basic of electricity. The participants will be able to analyze a circuit and calculate the current, voltage, power of a given circuit. They will be able to differentiate between AC and DC, will also come to know how to convert AC to DC and DC to AC in this course.

  • course learning outcomes:

    At the end of the course, the participants will be able to;
    - Understand the concepts of electric current, voltage, power, energy.
    - Understand the difference between AC and DC.
    - Understand the basic working of circuits.

  • Course outlines:

    - Introduction.
    - Electric Charge, electric current, electric potential, electric Field and electric Power.
    - Series, Parallel and Series-Parallel resistances.
    - Circuit Analysis.
    - Measurement of resistance, current and voltage.
    - Basics of conversion from AC to DC and DC to AC.

    - Technicians & Maintenance Inspectors (Electrical or Electronic) who have at least 1-year experience in this field, with good knowledge of basic math/physics and electronics and good communication skills in English.
