SPEE 001 : Hart Protocol

SPEE 001 : Hart Protocol

  • course description:

    The focus of this course is to familiarize the participants with the techniques involved in conversion of analog to digital .This course also sheds light on different compunction methodologies involved in recent time. This course also covers how HART communication works, and when it makes sense to use this protocol in a project.

  • course learning outcomes:

    At the end of the course, the participants will be able to;
    - Understand the working of A to D conversion.
    - Apply electronic principles to calculate the performance of different types of ADC and DAC.
    - Understand the basic protocol TCP, IP, UDP etc.
    - Familiarize the HART digital/analog hybrid standard.

  • Course outlines:

    - Digital Representation of numerical data.
    - Analog signal Conditioning and Referencing.
    - Analog to Digital Conversion and Digital data Communication Theory.
    - Ethernet networks &Internet Protocol (IP).
    - Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and User Datagram Protocol (UDP).

  • practical aspects of the course:

    - Testing and Interfacing with relays and contactors.
    - Explain how a digital signal is transmitted over an existing analog signal using HART.
    - Identify the parts and format of a HART message.
