    This course is designed to educate trainees with basic information regarding polymer additives and compounding processes. The course covers mixing theory, requirements for good mixing, basic criteria to be additive and issues involve with additives. The course further explores a wide range of most commonly used additives and compounding techniques. Emphasis is placed on melt mixing using a compounder. Laboratory and classroom demonstrations are used to reinforce topical information.
