  • course description:

    This is an introductory course about using the SOLIDWORKS software for creating simple 3-dimensional models and drawings.

  • course learning outcomes:

    At the end of the course, the participants will be able to:
    - Create simple 3-dimensional models.
    - Create multi-view projection drawings with annotations.
    - Fill-in title block information and printing.

  • Course outlines:

    - 2D sketching.
    - Sketch dimensioning and relations.
    - Basic part modeling with extruded and cut boss feature.
    - Use of Hole. Fillet and Chamfer features.
    - Revolve feature.
    - Assign material and calculate mass properties.
    - Using drawings.

  • practical aspects of the course:

    - Practical exercises and hands-on practice on Solidworks.
    - Frist step towards Certified Solidworks Associate (CSWA) certification. CSWA exam can be taken after attending Solidworks (Intermediate) course.

  • who should attend?

    - Design and Drafting Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Technician and Operators.
