This course teaches the student how to lead a process hazard analysis team, focusing on the Hazards and Operability (HAZOP) methodology.
At the end of the course, the participants will be able to;
- Establish the required documentation, team members and timeframe for conducting a PHA.
- Determine when, why, and how often a PHA is needed, and what format is appropriate.
- Understand and communicate the purpose, limitations and framework of a HAZOP study.
- Lead a PHA team through the stepwise process of a HAZOP and document the results.
